Job Description
1. Support respective OME teams in maintaining the integrity of the plant/facility.
2. Review survey reports, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geological data, and maps related to a civil engineering projects and resolve any related issues.
3. Review bid proposals, resolve environmental impact assessments and property right-of-way description issues related to civil engineering.
4. Interpret government codes to remove all kinds in the design stage and review the design of civil engineering projects.
5. Work closely with respective civil inspectors to specify required data, data collection methodology and templates as well as ensure data integrity.
6. Review/comment the estimated quantities, cost of materials, equipment cost and labor cost for the feasibility of the civil project.
7. Review and comment on computed load, grade requirements, and water flow material and material stress factors and structural modifications/repairs.
8. Provide expert advices to industrial and managerial personnel regarding design, construction and structural modifications/repairs.
9. Periodically monitor site activities to ensure construction is progressing according to specification, safety standards, planned schedules and budgets. Resolve all the problems that may arise during construction.
10. Review and update the calculations of the strength of materials to be purchased related to civil projects.
11. Review and comment on agreed proposed changes to civil standards and manuals.
12. Participate in the preparation and analysis of the unit operating plans, expenditures and unit mid-year/years end accountability.
13. Participate in the investigation and find out the root cause failure of plants/facility foundations, concrete, asphalt and structural modifications/repairs and make recommendations to prevent future failures.
14. Participate in HSE activities (such as plant walk through and emergency drills) as required.
15. Provide technical support to OME teams during plant maintenance shutdown.
16. Perform special engineering studies; including engineering standards review; to improve plant integrity and reduce costs.
17. Provide advices and guidance related to civil engineering work during disasters and emergency situations to correct the situation and to prevent further loss.
18. Review and update the proposed changes to civil standards and manuals.
19. Identify, plan and implement work process improvements opportunities.
20. Fully comprehend and adhere to relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
21. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
