Job Description
1. Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.
2. Ensure the technical quality, integrity and adequacy of all inspection work performed to meet all YASREF’s and local and international industry standards.
3. Develop training programs for certifying inspectors to ensure that all inspectors are properly qualified to carry out their duties.
4. Provide training to technical supervisors, staff and qualified inspectors to support refinery inspection requirements.
5. Work with other sections of the inspection division in developing new standards to improve existing procedures as required to continuously enhance the adequacy of inspection.
6. Assist in providing management with an overall database, cost and schedule of inspection programs and activities.
7. Follow-up on inspection contractors and ensure quality of work delivered as well compliance within the agreed contract.
8. Participate in the investigation of incidents to ensure effective implementation of YASREF’s safety policies and adequate maintenance of refinery equipment.
9. Review and approve all major modifications to process units, utilities and equipment.
10. Submit regular progress reports on inspection services’ contracts and highlight any pending issues or problems that need to be resolved.
11. Attend regular meetings with other concerned Maintenance, Operations, and Process Engineering personnel to ensure that inspection and corrosion control activities are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered on a priority basis.
12. Plan and execute vibration monitoring programs and other inspection programs to ensure timely completion of tasks as per defined procedures and standards for all rotating equipment at YASREF.
13. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical problems at the refinery, recommend modifications, and support their implementation to improve equipment performance, and reliability.
14. Lead the implementation and enhancement of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology, to enhance plant integrity and reliability.
15. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
16. Perform other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
