Job Description
1. Works on Job Tasks per the JTS Book
2. Carried out a variety of repairs for instruments/components brought to the workshop for maintenance, such as repairing electronic cards, regulators, column regeneration, sample cell cleaning etc.
3. Ensure that on-line system analyzers perform in accordance with the specifications (i.e., Response Time, Accuracy, Precision and Mean Time between Failure (MTBF)).
4. Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on any and all instrumentation, electrical and analyzer devices.
5. Perform calibration, testing, making any necessary adjustments, and documenting the results.
6. Perform loop checking in order to verify that all the connected components are working properly or to determine if repairs are needed.
7. Participate in review meetings to identify opportunities for system analyzers’ performance improvements based on periodic maintenance data and calibration records.
8. Troubleshoot any instrumentation, electrical and analyzer that is not working properly, to determine any discrepancies between proper operation and observed operation, and to isolate any suspect device from the control loop, and to perform corrective action as necessary to resolve any problems.
9. Communicate regularly with plant personnel to assess the team’s performance and operational status.
10. Lead a small group in monitoring and obtaining calibration standards, parts and consumable items for analyzers.
11. Apply statistical tools (e.g., SQC charts) in the evaluation of analyzers’ variables and in determining calibration needs.
12. Participate in reviews that identify opportunities to optimize the number of analyzers performing on-line and in the lab.
13. Keep abreast with latest trends and technological advancement in the related fields; network with peers to share technology and leverage problem-solving and prevention expertise.
14. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
15. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by his direct supervisor
