Job Description

  1. Analyzes business, industrial and financial information, in order to forecast business, industrial, and economics conditions and to support business and industrial decisions.
  2. Undertakes business, market, finance and industrial and competitive analysis to present as a business investment proposal.
  3. Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  4. Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to establish technical, financial and marketing viability of new ventures.
  5. Write concept papers that establish a high level case for further developing complex business ventures and present results to management.
  6. Proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  7. Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments
  8. Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with YASREF strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  9. Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  10. Protects YASREF value by keeping information confidential.
  11. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  12. Enhances YASREF reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  13. Maintain/update the refinery linear programing (LP) model. Stay current with latest LP modelling technology and recommend, approve and adopt applicable best practices. Implement linear and nonlinear programming for refinery planning and optimization, including financial impact off shutdown and operation abnormalities.
  14. Conduct economic studies and issue recommendation that optimize plant production and reduce production cost.
  15. Provide the necessary support to the respective corporate planning team member to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
  16. Participate in preparing operating and business plan and participate in commissioning, startup and testing of units/plants as needed.
  17. Calculate and analyze the technical and economic performance indicators of YASREF refinery using strategic performance management tools.
  18. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Strategic & Business Planning Manager.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
