Job Description

Managerial Responsibilities:

 

1. Participate in identifying and executing improvement opportunities and action plans based on actual performance.

2. Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by all direct reports.

3. Perform periodic performance appraisals for direct reports.

4. Ensure the performance of various assigned responsibilities and the conduct of the staff is in accordance with YASREF’s policies and procedures.

5. Optimize the use of available resources in carrying out the assigned responsibilities and ensure timely completion according to set standards.

6. Identify the competencies and knowledge required for direct reports to perform their assigned responsibilities, and develop appropriate training plans to enhance performance.

7. Implement relevant business and operating plan objectives and control the Section/Unit budget.

8. Cascade YASREF’s operational priorities including profitability, reliability, safety & environmental requirements to all direct reports and support them in executing the daily activities in line with these priorities.

 

Functional Responsibilities:

 

1. Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards. Follow all YASREF standards and procedures.

2. Monitor day-to-day maintenance execution activities and provide coaching and guidance as needed and ensure a smooth workflow. Actively contribute in planning and scheduling meetings.

3. Support unit reliability objectives for quality, availability and production targets in adherence to the applicable codes and standards.

4. Analyze faults, supervises equipment, appliances, wiring diagrams and repairs parts, generators, control panels and switch gear. Supervises bench repairs including, but not limited to electronics, poles, wiring, and all related equipment.

5. In the field, supervises layout, assembly, installation, testing, repair and safety checks on company-wide systems/equipment.

6. Inspects work performed by contractors; provide assistance with budgeting for projects; and stay abreast of current technology. Periodically audit the work to ensure safe behavior, work quality

and efficiency.

7. Perform preventive maintenance schedules of work areas. Communicate to all parties as required and follow up on pending requests.

8. Manage maintenance resources to deliver optimum cost and high efficiency work in adherence with control processes. Check tools and materials to ensure availability and proper operation.

9. Provide accurate and timely progress updates on managed work on a daily basis including contractor managed work in areas of responsibility. Prepare site, and participate in installation of new instruments.

10. Ensure that safety and security measures are being followed by all of the subordinates and undertake disciplinary or corrective actions as needed.

11. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.

12. Participate in all phases of the work as necessary and determines priorities of work assigned.

13. Consults with the user personnel concerning the type of work to be done, quantities needed, standards of quality delivered and possible job completion time.

14. Guide in the planning, scheduling, assignment, review of the work of the unit and complete all documentation as required.

15. Plan the training of new employees. Evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

16. Conduct design calculations and conducts safety inspections.

17. Ensure all reports are up to date on their core safety training and lead safety meetings as laid out in the safety meeting procedure.

18. Follow up on all SAP work order history and quality of history.

19. Ensure pro activeness in assembling spares and consumables are available in advance.

20. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Foreman.
