Marketing Manager

Job Description

Managerial Responsibilities:

1. Provide direction, advice and coaching to the Division Heads within the Sector in performing their delegated responsibilities and monitor their achievements.

2. Participate in developing strategy and the Business Plan. Manage the strategy execution and control Department’s annual budget,

3. Review all periodic performance reports prepared by Division Heads and consolidate the Department’s performance report to advise respective VP on the progress of all work under his/her control.

4. Provide professional development plans and perform periodic performance appraisals for Division Heads (in coordination with the HR)

5. Ensure that all Departments staff acquires the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs to hit the targets and fulfil operational priorities (Profit, reliability, safety and environmental requirements).

6. Manage and monitor the Department’s projects and programs to achieve set performance targets and objectives.

 

Functional Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of the company's marketing strategy and marketing plan for products, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and priorities.

2. Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services, working with internal departments.

3. Supervise the implementation of the marketing plan, monitor actual revenue/costs versus budgets and take appropriate action to correct any deviation from budget or schedules.

4. Initiate market research studies or analyze their findings, conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products or services.

5. Supervise the undertaking of market and industry research to identify, develop and lead campaigns to get company products properly positioned.

6. Analyze data to inform operational decisions or activities and Monitor external affairs or events affecting business operations.

7. Establish brand strategy and organize marketing activities to generate brand awareness.

8. Recommend appropriate policies regarding pricing, promotions, product and market evaluation and select placement and key messages for advertising and advertorials.

9. Advise business or other groups on local, national, or international factors affecting the buying or selling of products or services.

10. Collect information related to sales volume from relevant departments to develop appropriate allocation plans.

11. Support annual cost reduction and/or avoidance of cost increases in collaboration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, & Finance.

12. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

Minimum Job Qualifications Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Engineering or Management.

 

Minimum Work Experience:

Fifteen (15) years of experience relevant to Refining Marketing with five years of experience at a managerial level.
