Job Description
Functional Responsibilities:
- Stay current with latest custody metering technology, equipment, standards and manuals used in the plant as well as the relevant safety and operating procedures.
- Participate in review of expansion upgrade proposals/plans for custody metering in the plant and export terminal to meet YASREF requirement
- Participate in the evaluation metering performance by monitoring and analyze the metering reports and historical data.
- Participate in developing the recommendations to adjust the preventive maintenance schedules, programs and check-lists based on equipment performance.
- Make frequent plant visits and discuss instrumentation operational issues with respective OME teams with purpose of upgrading, maintaining, and improving metering instrumentation as required
- Participate in Trouble-shoot of metering system failures and abnormalities. Discuss abnormalities with maintenance technicians, instrumentation engineers and reliability engineers and operations staff.
- Attend scheduled and unscheduled plant shutdowns in order to participate in providing technical advice for metering maintenance matters.
- Acquire skills for Conducting research, including contracting equipment vendors/manufacturers, to trouble-shoot and resolve metering performance issues and abnormalities.
- Assist in investigation metering system component failures to identify root causes and provide sound recommendations to prevent future failure or incidents.
- Review proposals and engineering packages for metering system additions or modifications.
- Participate in SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) of modifications and addition metering system equipment.
- Assure that periodic back-ups are performed for metering system configurations and software.
- Participate in HSE activities (such as reporting near miss cases, proposing safety suggestions and safety quizzes) as requires.
- Develop skill in identifying, planning and implementing work process improvement opportunities.
- Attend all scheduled company safety training in order to adhere to relevant company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in investigation of ship and shore quantities discrepancies and prepare investigation reports with findings and recommendations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Job Qualifications Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Certified as a Professional Engineer from a recognized Engineering institute.
Certified on Work Process Improvement.
Minimum Work Experience:
Four (4) Years of related experience of which at least two (2) years in refining maintenance, engineering and project.
