Job Description
Functional Responsibilities:
1. Perform the day-to-day work in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.
2. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
3. Carry out planned routine operational and housekeeping activities to sustain plant capacity according to operational, safety, health, environmental, reliability and engineering standards.
4. Handle the start-up or shutdown activities according to the approved operating procedures and general instructions.
5. Efficiently monitor plant/facility operating conditions to meet the required product(s) specifications. Use established reporting systems (i.e. Ops log book) to document plant/facility operating parameters and maintenance activities.
6. Identify potential operating problems and handle emergency situations in accordance with YASREF standard procedures and instructions.
7. Report breaches to safety standards and safety incidents accurately and on a timely basis. Take corrective actions to resolve the safety issue/situation.
8. Participate in identifying, planning and implementing work process improvement opportunities.
9. Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and process disruptions.
10. Work closely with maintenance and contractors, ensuring permits and equipment isolation(s) are conforming to YASREF business processes.
11. Monitor operating parameters and advise on the necessary changes
12. Monitor environmental limits & arrange the disposal of plant hazardous waste to comply with environmental regulations.
13. Perform role & responsibilities as per ERP during emergency.
14. Achieve job certification tasks as per plan.
15. Report on time the plant abnormalities to direct supervisor & ensure visibility at site during shift hours.
16. Prepare equipment for maintenance activities as per the operation instruction manual.
17. Monitor conditions of all equipment within the unit as per operation instruction manual & process planned parameters.
18. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent.
