Job Description
1. Ensure and deliver day-to-day work in order to confirm process efficiency, plant reliability/integrity, and to promote safety, compliance and environmental standards.
2. Ensure the process units are operating at optimum conditions to provide the maximum profit by applying engineering principles and coordinating the work with Manufacturing Planning divisions.
3. Visit the assigned process unit area(s), review process performance, discuss the unit performance with the assigned Process or Operation Engineer and provide necessary engineering support to optimize operations and comply with applicable health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.
4. Review and approve the process parameters adjustments to maximize yield, meet production plans, plant reliability and profitability based on process performance and laboratory results.
5. Review and discuss with assigned Expert/Process Engineer the optimum chemicals and utilities consumption in the process unit.
6. Analyze and develop an Engineering Service Request (ESR) which is economically justifiable and environmentally safe.
7. Review the required operation, maintenance, safety, and environment procedures for further discussion/ approval with respective parties.
8. Conduct special engineering studies including engineering standard reviews for operations optimization, energy conservation, cost reduction and safety.
9. Adherence to the approved MOC (Management of Change) procedures in formulation of proposals & their implementation along with necessary HAZOP/PSSR.
10. Provide consultation in troubleshooting process abnormalities to recommend the best possible resolutions.
11. Develop long term process engineering projects to improve GRM profitability and safety; participate in plant performance tests for plant improvements.
12. Identify, plan and implement work process improvements to eliminate/reduce resources waste (i.e. cycle time, energy, cost) and enhance productivity.
13. Review and endorse the proposed changes to process standards and manuals; Review and recommend process related performance indicators on regular basis.
14. Identify and assist in troubleshooting, investigation, and root cause analyses of process systems problems.
15. Share job expertise with the team members.
16. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by his direct supervisor.
