Job Description
1. Perform the day-to-day work in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.
2. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
3. Determine standards, budgets, production goals, production availability and workloads.
4. Maintain/update the refinery linear programming (LP) model.
5. Review vendor’s LP user manual and maintain/update it as required.
6. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data used to optimize production.
7. Fine-tune and update the LP model to reflect actual refinery capability.
8. Work parallel with marketing and analyze reports to forecast production and align with seasonal changes.
9. Evaluate the impact of potential/actual changes in the demand and pricing on the refinery margin.
10. Lead the developing production plans by taking into account actual production rates and make needed adjustments.
11. Lead the developing production plans by taking into account actual production rates.
12. Coordinate of staying abreast with the latest LP modeling technology and applicable industry best practices.
13. Enable YASREF refinery to run at maximum efficiency and profitability.
14. Calculate and analyze the technical and economic performance indicators of YASREF Refinery using strategic performance management tools.
15. Implement Linear and Non Linear Programming for refinery planning and optimization.
16. Optimize the processing of crudes and maximize dollars per barrel for crude input.
17. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
18. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Industrial Engineering, Economics or equivalent
