Job Description
1. Accomplish the day-to-day work in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards. |
2. Organize with Operations and Economic Optimization Group to ensure that optimization tool(s) reflect the actual process parameters such as maximum sustained capacity of each refinery process unit. |
3. Confirm the short & long term customer demands and discuss/update product pricing. |
4. Participate in preparing the refinery short, medium, and long term production plans and offerings based on design capacity to demand. |
5. Compare actual production rates with production targets on daily basis and develop/adjust blend recipes using latest optimization software (and other available tools). |
6. Manage and discuss the daily and weekly products lifting schedule. |
7. Approve the laboratory results on daily basis and discuss any deviations from specifications. |
8. Communicate and coordinate the required production adjustment with involved parties (Operations, Engineering and Marketing). |
9. Discuss the monthly giveaway report including recommendations to minimize or eliminate future giveaways. |
10. Liaise with Off-takers regarding lifting nominations, lifting schedules and inventory control/allocation. |
11. Review with shareholders on short term (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly) production plans. |
12. Communicate production scheduling activities such as (Off-takers, quantity, etc.) directly with shareholders. |
13. Lead the analyzing relevant monthly, middle year and year end KPIs and propose improvement actions/suggestions to enhance the refinery margin. |
14. Lead the evaluating the financial impact of scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns and operations abnormalities on the refinery margin. |
15. Maintain correspondence and record files for economics & planning, in particular those pertaining to shipping and Off-taker communications. |
16. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards. |
17. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. |

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
