REFINING SYSTEM ENGINEER

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform the day-to-day work in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.

2. Apply Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Advanced Control Applications (ACAP) for enhanced plant optimization.

3. Evaluate and select Software and Process Automation Contractor.

4. Evaluate and select IRIS vendors such as Invensys, Honeywell, Accenture, Yokogawa etc.

5. Select a Service Integrator, who is able to combine industry knowledge with technical and integration skills and capable of teaming up with specific software vendors.

6. Collect all needed data YASREF needs for IRIS development.

7. Provide Database Management System (DBMS) and in-house developed information systems to form a bridge between the Integrated Refinery Information System (IRIS) and the Distributed Control System (DCS).

8. Integrate business strategy and production execution before the plant starts operating.

9. Define a clear set of key performance indicators (KPI) as well as standardized reporting structures, data models and integration guidelines.

10. Unite business controls, production controls and process controls in real time to create actual workflow and flow of information.

11. Develop an “Integrated Refinery Information System” (IRIS) to manage total supply chain, refinery planning and scheduling, and operations management.

12. Develop a robust, scalable and easy-to-maintain system that supports real-time decision making and analysis.

13. Incorporate all major applications, architecture and integration components and ensure alignment with YASREF’s ultimate business objectives.

14. Improve operational performance against industry benchmarks.

15. Standardize IT architecture and applications while aligning them with YASREF broader policies and standards.

16. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.

17. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
