Technology Engineer

1. Meet the scheduled milestones in compliance with the relevant company specifications, codes, standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure and deliver day-to-day work in order to confirm process efficiency, plant reliability/integrity, and to promote safety, compliance and environmental standards.

2. Ensure the process units are operating at optimum conditions to provide the maximum profit by applying engineering principles and coordinating the work with Manufacturing and Planning divisions.

3. Analyze and develop Management of Change (MOC) which is economically justifiable and environmentally safe.

4. Stay knowledgeable of the latest Petroleum Refining & Petrochemical technologies and Best Practices relevant to the YASREF facility for use in the review of both capital and expense projects from concept to commissioning.

5. Develop long term process engineering projects to improve profitability and safety; participate in plant performance tests for plant improvements.

6. Identify the bottlenecks. Analyze Catalyst performance and suggest operating changes. Carry out process study for enhancing Catalyst Performance.

7. Participate in HSE activities (such as plant walk through, HAZOP emergency and drills) as required

8. Identify, plan and implement work process improvements opportunities.

9. Recommend alternatives to existing Catalyst during Turnaround with High Performing Catalyst.

10. Review and endorse the proposed changes to process standards and manuals; Review and recommend process related performance indicators on regular basis.

11. Support Operations during planned and emergency plant shutdowns.

12. Analyze and develop an Engineering Service Request (ESR) which is economically justifiable and environmentally safe.

13. Conduct special engineering studies including engineering standard reviews for operations optimization, energy conservation, cost reduction and safety.

14. Review and comment operation engineer’s proposals to ensure that the operating procedure meets YAREF requirements and enables the achievement of business priorities (HSE, reliability, high KPI’s, and continuous improvement).

17. Identify, plan and implement work process improvements to eliminate/reduce resources waste (i.e.cycle time, energy, cost) and enhance productivity.

19. Participate in investigations of short and long term process unit problems affect service factors, safety, and operating costs. Take lead responsibility for documentation of the incident and

Corrective action.
