Job Description
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, advice and coaching to the Division Heads within the Sector in performing their delegated responsibilities and monitor their achievements.
- Participate in developing strategy and the Business Plan. Manage the strategy execution and control Department’s annual budget,
- Review all periodic performance reports prepared by Division Heads and consolidate the Department’s performance report to advise respective VP on the progress of all work under his/her control.
- Provide professional development plans and perform periodic performance appraisals for Division Heads (in coordination with the HR)
- Ensure that all Departments staff acquires the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs to hit the targets and fulfill operational priorities (Profit, reliability, safety and environmental requirements).
- Manage and monitor the Department’s projects and programs to achieve set performance targets and objectives.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Develop the organization’s policies, procedures, systems and frameworks to ensure efficient and streamlined operations across Treasury.
- Manage YASREF funds in a cost effective manner and efficient manner and managing the investment of surplus funds in accordance with guidelines.
- Analyze financial risk and liaise with Banks and financial institutions all matters of credits, funding, and investment; ensure that risk exposure is minimal by implementing protective / risk management tools (insurance policies, secure funds. etc).
- Manage the credit facility agreements with the Shareholders of YASREF.
- Manage and analyze financial results, business financial trends and make appropriate recommendations to the management.
- Ensure appropriate periodical reports for management meeting and business reviews.
- Manage the Treasury Organization budget by allocating financial resources and operating within specified limits and guidelines
- Contribute to the development of the Treasury organization’s strategies and participate in its implementation by performing and delegating related activities.
- Manage all Company insurance policies and relationships with insurers; ensure that policies are renewed on time and progress insurance claims process within specified timeframes; report claims activities to key stakeholders and the Finance Vice President and adjust policies in line with Company’s exposure to risk.
- Manage and control company Bank accounts; identify and action cost efficiencies and opportunities (fee reductions, interest rates, etc); regularly audit accounts/transactions and review accuracy of statements.
- Develop and exercise responsibility for the Bank account authority matrix; ensure that minimal access to company accounts is granted and that any interaction by the Company personnel to Company accounts is through approved channels and executed within the constraints of the Bank account authority matrix.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the VP Finance.
